Pharmaceutical Chemistry deals with the synthesis, analysis, the molecular characterization of drugs and with the investigation of drug-target interactions and its cellular effects. The Institute of Pharmaceutical Chemistry holds four professorships and one junior professorship in Pharmaceutical Chemistry on the topics

  • drug design (JProf. Proschak)

  • instrumental analysis (Prof. Karas)

  • medicinal chemistry (Prof. Stark)

  • analysis of natural drugs and drug synthesis (Prof. Schubert-Zsilavecz)

  • biochemistry and pathobiochemistry (Prof. Steinhilber)
